Hops and Growlers

Hops and Growlers is a family-owned brewpub in downtown Ocean Springs and the first brewpub in the city. Brewmaster Scott Hixson makes all of the beer in-house, and the taproom keeps around 22 house beers on tap. The rotating lineup covers styles from stouts and sours to lagers and pilsners, along with seasonal small batches, and new releases are announced on the brewery’s Facebook page. The neighborhood taproom is meant for everyone, and families, kids, friends and dogs are welcome, with outdoor seating and to-go pickup available. Weekly events have included a trivia night, a free run and walk club with routes of about one mile, 2.25 miles and a 5K starting from the taproom, and Science on Tap, a series where local scientists and professors talk about their work.
