Fertile Ground Beer Co.

Fertile Ground Beer Co. is a craft brewery in Jackson that aims to use beer to bring people together and build community. Its name and concept trace back to Jackson’s first TEDx event, held in 2014 at the Capri Theater under the theme “Fertile Ground,” which highlighted the opportunities in Mississippi and especially in Jackson. The brewery opened in spring 2020, and its founding team brought more than 60 years of combined craft beer experience. Fertile Ground calls its beer bright, clean and contemporary, made with traditional brewing techniques. A fruited sour series called Contours of Light explores native and non-native fruits, and a one-barrel pilot system is used to develop new recipes. Taproom staff have gone through Certified Cicerone training to help guests choose a beer. The brewery also hosts events and private rentals.
