The Porter Public House

The Porter Public House is a pub in historic downtown Hattiesburg that bills itself as the Hub City’s own public house. Since 2016 it has served as a downtown gathering place for locals and travelers alike. The draft list focuses on regional craft beer, alongside straightforward cocktails and wine. The kitchen makes classic American and European pub dishes with a Southern twist, prepared to order using ingredients made in-house or sourced locally, and the menu runs from burgers and sandwiches to salads and entrees. The Porter offers tabletop games for families, live music and entertainment, and a mug club whose members drink from a 20-ounce handcrafted mug. The pub also takes online orders for pickup, provides catering and hosts private parties and special events. Gift cards are sold online and in house.
